Another arrest has been made in the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) answer key leak case. Krishan, a resident of a village in Rohtak, is the fifth person to be arrested in this case. He is said to be a close associate of the head of the gang, Roop Singh Dangi. The police got hold of CCTV footage of a hotel in Alwar, Rajasthan where Dangi had met members of his gang who could be involved in this leak. Krishan was also present at this meeting, where the plan was discussed.

The gang allegedly charged Rs 15-20 lakh from every student for supplying them with the answer key.

CBSE, on the other hand, has clarified that no answer key was leaked. According to them, it is a case of cheating a group of candidates. They also announced that no re-exam will be conducted. This provoked mixed reactions from students. Candidates are not convinced with the board’s explanation and are protesting against CBSE.

According to reports, 90 of the answers were leaked using Bluetooth devices. A lot of students’ futures are at stake. The expected cut-off for the CBSE AIPMT Exam 2015 is expected to be around 420-425. The minimum cut off to qualify is 50 percent for General quota students, 40 percent for OBC, SC & ST, and 45 percent for the PH category candidates.
