Delhi University to begin its offline registrations from June 5

The offline registration forms for admissions to Delhi University will be available from June 5. The university has set eight registration centres, the students can obtain application forms from SGTB Khalsa College, Gargi College, Dayal Singh College, Maharaja Agrasen College, Rajdhani College, Atma Ram Sanatan Dharm College, PG DAV College and Shyam Singh College.

The offline forms will be accepted by the colleges from June 5 up to June 15. DU began its online registration process on May 28, and over two lakh students have already registered through that forum. The last date for offline registrations is also June 15.

The registration process for Sports quota and Extra-Curricular activities (ECA) quota will be available in the offline mode at the respective colleges.

The centralised registration forms, i.e. the optical mark recognition (OMR) forms can be obtained from the official website, www.du.ac.in. The fee for the forms is Rs 100 (for General category students) and Rs 50 (for reserved categories). The payment procedure is also online, through internet banking.

Also, students have faced issues with the limited number of subjects listed on the online form. Subjects which are not included in the academic or elective list are neither mentioned in the forms, nor do these subjects have a subject code. Thus, students were at a loss as they’re unable to fill the form according to their choice. Legal studies and Entrepreneurship are some of the subjects which have been omitted from the online forms. However, this issue is likely to be resolved with the offline forms.
