Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and IBM on Thursday announced a new joint collaboration for research in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). IBM launches Linux-only mainframe system LinuxONE

NEW DELHI: International Business Machines has launched Linux-only mainframe servers called LinuxONE. The severs include LinuxONE Emperor for large enterprises and Rockhopper for mid-size businesses. IBM claimed LinuxONE Emperor can scale up to 8,000 virtual machines or thousands of containers, which would be the most for any single Linux system. The Linux One Empire system will be based on IBM’s z13 mainframe computer, which had been designed for high-volume mobile transactions. Facebook, IBM Team Up on Analytics to Help Serve ‘Better Ads’

  IBM and Facebook announced Wednesday they would collaborate with marketers to develop better online advertising targeted to specific customers.
