Online retail giant Amazon on Thursday opened its first brick and mortar bookstore in New York, selling a limited range of its highest-rated books and letting customers browse products as in times gone by. ‘Lewd acts’ force changes to New York wi-fi kiosks

Google-funded internet kiosks around New York City are being updated to stop them being used “inappropriately”. Free web browsing on the 400 kiosks will be disabled to stop people viewing pornography sites and also to prevent individuals using them for too long. The change comes after several New Yorkers reported people committing “lewd acts” at the booths. The kiosks will still offer free phone calls, wi-fi, charging points, maps and access to emergency services. TAP Portugal to launch New York and Boston routes

Portugal’s leading airline will launch daily service to Boston and New York from Lisbon in June and July. TAP Portugal’s Boston service will begin on June 11 and the New York service will commence on July 1. TAP will compete with fellow Portuguese airline SATA International on the Boston-Lisbon route.
