Zeiss Tips Milvus Lenses for Canon, Nikon DSLRs

German lense specialist Zeiss today introduced the Milvus family of high-resolution SLR camera lenses. The six-piece set will initially consist of various manual focal lengths: 21mm f/2.8, 35mm f/2, 50mm f/1.4, 85mm f/1.4, 100mm f/2 Macro, and 50mm f/2 Macro. Canon’s new ultra-high sensitivity full-frame camera shoots at ISO 4000000

Canon introduced its first multi-purpose camera, the ME20F-SH. It features a full frame sensor, which can record 1080p Full HD videos at ultra high senstitivity. It can shoot subjects with illuminance levels as low as 0.0005 lux at a maximum gain (or sensor noise) level of 75dB, which equates to maximum ISO levels of over 4,000,000. Canon to buy network video camera maker Axis

Canon is planning to buy Swedish security camera maker Axis Communicationsamid slumping demand for digital compact cameras. The tender offer is worth about ¥333 billion (US$2.8 billion) and has been approved by the three largest shareholders in Axis, Canon said Tuesday.
