  The Delhi University Sports Council had problems coping up with rush of students who arrived on the first day of the centralised fitness test. Delhi University receives over four lakh registrations against 54,000 seats

  Delhi University has received over four lakh registrations this year. Out of the total registrations, 3,20,799 completed applications have been submitted, 2,32,049 of which are online applications and the remaining 88,750 are offline applications. There has been an increase of almost 50,000 applications as compared to last year, 2,74,381 students submitted their applications in 2014. However, the total number of seats offered by the university is one-sixth of the total applications.   On Monday, June 15, the Delhi university registration process for admissions to undergraduate programmes came to an end with both the online and offline registrations/sale ending for the academic year 2015.     Delhi University has received over 3.5 lakh registrations in sixteen days, since the registration process began. Till 5 pm yesterday there were 3,05,837 online registrations, 64,210 offline registration forms were sold and 46,007 offline applications had been submitted. The online registrations were made open to students on May 28, while the sale of offline forms began on June 5.
