The Aam Aadmi Party government has blamed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for strike by DTC bus drivers and conductors.
“BJP is doing politics over this case,” Delhi Transport Minister Gopal Rai said.
He also assured action against those who mistreat bus drivers and conductors.
“Strict actions need to be taken on the way DTC drivers and conductors are treated,” he added.
Meanwhile, Commuters depending on buses for their travel needs had a tough time on Monday after the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) drivers went on strike protesting against the murder of one of their colleagues here on Sunday.
The DTC buses stayed off roads and a huge rush was seen on Delhi Metro and private auto-rickshaws.
A DTC driver was beaten to death by a motorcycle rider after the bus he was driving hit the motorcycle in Mundka area of west Delhi.
