In 2014, the ICSE examination was conducted in about 1,841 schools in India and abroad, and the ICS examination was held across 868 schools. The pass percentage for ICSE (Class 10) exams was 98.28 percent and the ICS (Class 12) exams recorded a pass percentage of 95.27 percent. A total of 66 subjects and 44 subjects were offered for the two examinations, respectively.

All the subjects offered by the board carry internal assessment. This assessment is based on the students’ coursework, projects, assignments and practical exams. The weightage awarded to internal assessment varies from 20 percent for subjects like English, History etc. to 50 percent for subjects such as Fashion Designing, Physical Education, Home Science etc.
