The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) has declared the results for Class 10 board exams. Over 80,000 candidates had appeared for the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination. Almost 50 per cent candidates have failed, this year.
Rank 1 is shared by Shivam Dubey from Katni and Sandeep Kumar Shah of Singrauli. Both the candidates have scored 586 out of a total of 600 marks. Rank 2 and Rank 3 has been held by Ayush Shrivastava, with a score of 584 marks and Shivam Sharma, with a score of 583 marks.
The boys have dominated the merit list. However, girls outshine boys by occupying maximum numbers in the merit list (district-wise). Out of 194 candidates, a total of 102 girls have secured their place in the merit list. A total of 1,80,152 students had registered in government schools while 2,34,136 students had registered from non government schools.
According to the statistics released, a total of 1.85 lakh students passed with first division, 2.13 lakh cleared the exams with second division and 53,000 students got third division. More than 2.3 lakh students got the supplementary division.
