The MBA students in Nashik who gave the MBA examinations conducted by the Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) on May 5, 2015, got angry when they were told about some changes in the question paper, just half an hour before the exam was about to end. There was a confusion in a question from the topic ‘Operation Supply Chain Management’.

The examination was held between 11 am and 1.30 pm. The students were informed about the changes in the question at around 1 pm.

Approximately 9,500 MBA students from Nashik, Pune and Ahmednagar appeared for the exam.

All the second semester students were annoyed because of the last minute changes in the question paper. Some students had already attempted the question by then, while some of them had left the examination hall.

A daily quoted a student who appeared for the exam saying, “Two questions had been provided. One was about explaining TOM, while the second question about explaining PERT and CPM. By the time the change was communicated, some students had already attempted the question. It was too late to reattempt the question.”

“Though it was the last question in the paper, I had attempted the question by the time the corrections came; there was no time to rewrite it. Moreover, no additional time was provided from the university for the same,” exclaimed another student.

“The university should have given sufficient time to attempt the question paper. Though there are 5 marks reserved for the question, it is lengthy and requires at least 10 minutes to attempt it,” he added
