The SSLC (Kerala) 2014-15 examination results were published on April 20 but there was an error in the publication. The State Education department then republished the result after correcting the errors.

After the correction, the eligible candidates for higher studies are 98.57 percent of the students that appeared for the exam. This is a slight increase from the results previously published which stated that 97.99 percent students were eligible.

In numbers, the candidates eligible for higher studies are 4,61,542 out of the 4,68,243 who sat for the exam. 15,430 candidates received an ‘A’ grade in all subjects.

There were several errors in the previous results. The candidates who did not sit for the exam received ‘A’ grades while candidates who had performed well were stated to have failed. Several candidates’ grades were found to be changed.

CPM veteran and State Opposition leader VS Achuthanandan demanded that Education Minister P K Abdu Rabb resign in light of this issue. The Opposition also criticised the way the SSLC examination results were managed.
