Julie and Tom are skilled mountaineers who work as mountain instructors and have been engaged for the last three years. With the help of some of her friends at the station, Julie made her wedding dress. After the ceremony which was held at noon, the newlywed couple clicked photos outside which had a temperature of -9 degrees centigrade. Post that they sped off in their wedding vehicle, a sno-cat.
BAT is a sector of Antarctica which the United Kingdom had claimed as one of its 14 British Overseas Territories. The southern part of the territory was named Queen Elizabeth Land in 2012. The area does not have any native inhabitants and comprises the research and support teams of the British Antarctic Survey and various other organizations.
