The overall pass percentage has reached 82 percent, this year. Girls have outdone boys acquiring a pass percentage of 87.56 whereas only 77.77 percentage of boys have qualified the exams. Thiruvananthapuram region tops the pass percentage chart; 95.41 percent of candidates have qualified the exams from this region.
M.Gayatri from New Green Fields school has topped the Board scoring 496 (99.2 per cent) marks. And the second rank is shared by Mythili Mishra from Amity International School, Noida, B. Arjun from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Trivandrum and Saurabh Bhambri from KRM World School, G.K, New Delhi. All three scored 495 marks, i.e. 99 percent.
The exams were conducted between March 2 and April 20. The Mathematics and the Physics paper were found to be very difficult and lengthy as compared to previous years. The students were apprehensive about qualifying their Mathematics and Physics exam, however, they seem to be satisfied with the results.
Vaibhav Arora, a student of Class 12, (92 per cent) says, “I have scored 83 in Mathematics and 95 in Physics. Can’t believe! The paper was extremely difficult. I am glad. Hard work paid off”.
