The IGNOU admission process for July 2018 is in progress.

The Indira Gandhi National Open University is starting a Certificate in First Aid Programme (CFAID) from the July 2018 session.

This programme has been developed to train learners to provide first aid in various emergencies. IGNOU regional centre has identified “ Virangana Avanti Bai District Women Hospital”, Lucknow, as a study centre for delivery of this programme.

Manorama Singh, regional director, IGNOU regional centre, Lucknow, said this programme will benefit those who wish to pursue careers as assistants and aides in nursing homes, traffic police, ambulance services, and as fire marshals and teachers.

Anamika Sinha, assistant regional director, said those who have cleared class 10th are qualified to take this course. This programme will also be helpful to general public, professionals and non-professionals in developing their knowledge and skills about first aid.

The admission process for July 2018 session is in progress. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the link “online admission.ignou.ac.in”.

The last date for filling application forms is June 30, 2018.
