Long walks in nature for pleasure, knowledge, and exercise are called hiking. I hiked with pals last year. It was fun and educational. We did rigorous physical and mental activities. Since then, trekking has been good to us.
Nepal has several natural wonders. Hiking and seeing these natural entities can be quite beneficial. Summer vacation last year was quite helpful. We chose trekking spots at firs. We opted to explore Solukhumbu district, known for its snow-capped mountains, including Mt. Everest.
We planned our hike thoroughly. The trekking group had ten people, including an M.B.B.S. doctor. He was eager to join us. Then, we visited the Nepal tourism board for location information. We took the bus to Ziri in Dolakha to start trekking. We created a complete Ziri-to-location map. We then bought hiking gear. We bought and managed extra clothing, first-aid kits with some medicines, carbohydrate snakes, sunglasses, a map of the route, a compass, flash lights, extra batteries, matches, knives, brimmed hats, woolen socks, jackets, the utensils needed to prepare food, a light gas stove, etc.
We took a microbus to Ziri. The trip from Kathmandu started at 7 a.m. We arrived Ziri at 2 p.m. That night we stayed in a hotel. We had tea at the motel the next morning and trekked to our destination. As we departed Ziri, we knew God had given us much. Waterfalls, rivers, vegetation, birds, and animals dotted the walking trail. We walked carefully, savoring the sights. We took many photos of those thins. Snow-capped mountains were seen to the north.
We were hungry after a three-hour stroll. We pitched our tents in grass. We lit a fire near the tents and prepared food. Our friend Sanjay was dizzy and wanted to sleep. Our doctor examined him and gave him carbohydrate snacks and medication. After an hour, he was OK. We didn’t use our gas stove because there was enough firewood. Several buddies sang and danced. I heard Rajib play guitar brilliantly while cooking. We had our supper when ready. We liked the dinner best. Solukhumbu district headquarters, Salleri, was my next stop after two hours. Salleri, Phaplu, Junbesi, Gokyo, Dudhapokhari, Chaurikharka (Lukla) were visited.
