The OnePlus 2 is expected to feature a 13 MP camera unit on the back, but we were wondering if it will have an optical image stabilization mechanism to accompany it, too. Well, judging from the comparison shots that the OnePlus CEO Peter Lau posted on the company’s forums, it might not.
Several pictures were shown, comparing OnePlus 2 camera samples to the same scenes taken with a Galaxy S6 and an iPhone 6. The iPhone 6 comparison was with night shots, and the Galaxy S6 with macro closeups.
We won’t be commenting on the quality of the shots, as the OnePlus 2 model is probably a preproduction unit, though we like what we are seeing in both situations, if these are indeed the original unretouched shots, straight out of the OnePlus 2 camera. The phone is expected to land in about two week’s time, and cost around $400, as per the CEO.
