Registration is now open for the July 2016 ACE Leadership Academy for Department Chairs, a two-day workshop that focuses on the chair not only as a unit leader, but also as an academic leader in service to the institution and its mission.
The Academy will be held July 20-21, 2016 at ACE’s offices in Washington, DC, and is open to department chairs, division heads, program directors and unit leaders.
The Academy seeks to equip leaders with the expertise to successfully manage a broad range of issues in the changing higher education climate. The workshops will feature discussions and activities exploring practical solutions for common challenges facing department chairs, from conflicts over hiring and tenure review to diversity-related questions and legal and ethical concerns. Other topics include budgeting and financial management, faculty recruitment, innovation, institutional governance and more.
Team discounts are available for multiple registrations from the same institution. After the first participant registers at full price, each additional registrant from the same institution qualifies for a $50 discount.
