Samsung has officially announced that its next Unpacked event will take place on August 13th at the Lincoln Center in New York City. The company has also confirmed that the event will be live streamed on YouTube.
The press invite for the event suggests that the brand is planning to launch a device with a curved display, most likely the Galaxy S6 edge+. In addition, the company is also expected to launch the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 at the same event.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ and Galaxy Note 5 have already posed for the camera several times in the last couple of months. The Galaxy S6 edge+ will reportedly offer a 5.67-inch Super AMOLED quad-HD curved display on both sides. The phone will be backed by a Samsung Exynos 7420 processor, aided by 3GB of RAM. Other rumoured specs include Android 5.1 Lollipop, 16MP/5MP cameras, 32GB of non-expandable storage, and a metal body.
The Galaxy Note 5 will reportedly feature an S-Pen with a fingernail-ejection mehcanism. It will offer a 5.7-inch QHD display, a Samsung Exynos 7422 processor, 4GB of RAM, Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, a 16MP rear camera, and a 4,100mAh battery.
