A new report from Bloomberg claims Apple is working on satellite technology to beam data to users’ devices, and could launch a new initiative using the tech within five years. China’s Quantum Satellite Dispatches Transmissions Over a Record Distance of 1,200 Kilometres

A Chinese quantum satellite has dispatched transmissions over a distance of 1,200km (746 miles), a dozen times further than the previous record, a breakthrough in a technology that could be used to deliver secure messages, state media said on Friday.
