Jolly Roger Amusement Park and Pier Rides
This is technically two different locations, but there are fun amusement style rides for the entire family. The Jolly Rodger Amusement Park is located a bit further into town, but it is still close and within walking distance of other attractions. It has a roller coaster that provides a beautiful view of the beach and it really is great to ride it at night, so you can see the entire pier lit up. The Jolly Roger Pier Rides put amusement park style rides right at your fingertips. You don’t even need to leave the beach to have a fantastic time. After a comfortable, refreshing swim, you can head on up to take in the different rides available here. The Two Level Carousel is always a fan favourite.
Ripley Believe it or Not! Museum
Chances are, you have at least seen clips from the television show, paged through one of the books or been to one of the other museums scattered throughout the United States. This really is an entertaining little museum that is a must if you want to experience the best of Ocean City. When the weird and wild is something you truly enjoy, you naturally are going to like it here. So, whether you want to see shrunken heads or other oddities, make sure to at least stop on it. It is right on South Atlantic Ave and just a short walk from the beach.
Frontier Town
Ever wonder what it was like to settle the United States and what earlier pioneers had to do to survive? Well, check out Frontier Town. Not only is it a full town built and maintained exactly as it would have been several hundred years ago, it is also a fun adventure park with plenty for the kids to do. They can check out the High Ropes Adventure or learn about the frontier days. Whether you are looking for amusement or something educational, Frontier Town has it both.
The Beach
After all, when it’s called Ocean City, there’s going to be a beach. It is one of the most beautiful beaches you will ever see. If you have been to other locations where there is an ocean and beach, chances are it is somewhere down south, where the water is so warm it isn’t even refreshing any longer. At Ocean City, every dip into the water is cool and it really helps beat the summer heat.
