Just a day ago, Microsoft started the global roll out of its most anticipated operating system update, Windows 10. The company had already announced that all the previous devices running Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 will get the new OS upgrade for absolutely free.
Now the Redmond-based tech giant has announced Windows 10 pricing for users who aren’t eligible for the upgrade. According to the recently updated Windows 10 sales page of Microsoft India, the Windows 10 Home edition will be available for Rs 7,999, and the Windows 10 Pro edition will retail for Rs 14,999.
Existing Windows 7 or 8.1 users who have already signed for the Windows 10 OS upgrade will receive it for free in the coming weeks. Users who wish to purchase Windows 10 will need to wait until mid-August or early September, which will be available via Microsoft authorised retail stores across the country.
