Driving a brand-new car from the authorized dealership to your home is a really special, one-of-its-kind experience, innit? But what if your spanking new ride is wrapped up, loaded on a flatbed truck and delivered to your doorstep? You can see something similar in the video we have below – a new Lamborghini Huracan Performante is delivered to the doorsteps of its rich (and enviable) owner in Hyderabad.
It’s not uncommon to see these brand new exotic cars being transported to their owners on a flatbed. The cars have a couple of covers on them to protect the bodywork from any sort of scratches during the delivery process. Priced at a rather stratospheric Rs 3.97 crore, the Huracan Performante, which is basically a go-faster variant of the Huracan, was launched in India last year. The first car was delivered to its owner in Mumbai in September last year. The car you see in the video above is the second Performante in India and the first-ever in the city of Hyderabad.
The highlight of the Lamborghini Huracan Performante is its Active Aero Agenda or ‘Aerodynamica Lamborghini Attiva’, in Lambo speak. This feature enables the car to choose between maximum downforce and low drag setups with adjustments of flaps the front and rear spoilers. You also get Forged Composite carbon fibre on parts such as the engine cover, front spoiler, rear bumper, rear spoiler, diffuser, centre console, paddles, HVAC vents and door handles. All the carbon fibre helps this car shave off some 40 KGs from its weight. On the inside, the car gets a new digital cockpit display that can be customized for every one of the three driving modes – Strada, Sport or Corsa.
Powering the Huracan Performante is a 5.2-litre naturally aspirated V10 engine that outputs 640 PS and 600 Nm. The engine comes mated to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. The Huracan Performante can sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in just 2.9 seconds and hit a top speed of 325 kmph.
